Let's start again.

... and here we are. Spring 2009 (in Australia, anyway). And while I'm looking at the latest in fall and winter fashions for North America, it's only getting hotter here. I've been in Australia for 2 months and this is what I've discovered so far:
1. There are season and they go a little something like this: hot, hotter, too hot and "your skin is burnt instantly" hot.  Phew. Am I cut out for this?
2. Flip Flops (Thongs) are a way of life. Seriously, everyone wear them. Who knew that they were business casual?
3. Living a few steps from the beach is actually as amazing as you would imagine! One of my favourite things to do while on vacation is sitting on the beach reading a book and now it's my reality! What a great life :)
4. The clothing here (along the coast anyway) is much different. It's incredibly laid back and less fashion focused than I would like. In order to see great shoes during the day, you have to head to the mall or catch the train into Brisbane!
5. In these 2 months I have bought a purse. That's it. No tees. No dresses. No shoes (*gasp*). I find this hard to believe and I suspect once it starts to get disgustingly hot, I will be investing in a few more pairs of shorts and tee's but for now, I am incredibly impressed with my lack of spending!
Ok, so #5 isn't really something I discovered, but I have shocked myself with my lack of spending so it really deserved to be noted!
#6. I love my life and this is one of the reasons why:
*this is at the end of my street
